In pursuant to sections 5(1) and 9 of the Land Use Act of 1978, the following are the guidelines for processing Certificate of Statutory Right of Occupancy in Osun State.

Requirements For Processing Certificate Of Statutory Right Of Occupancy.

  1. Land Agreement – One (1) photocopy.
  2. Original Survey Plan – Two (2) copies.
  3. Passport Photograph – One (1) copy per applicant
  4. Current Tax Clearance Certificate of the applicant(s).

Procedure For Processing Certificate Of Statutory Right Of Occupancy

  1. Payment of Initial deposits.
  2. Online Registration- (e-mail address-: osunocofo@gmail.com).
  3. Print out of the online form duly filled and signed.
  4. Inspection of site by relevant officers from Town Planning and Lands Departments and Office of the Surveyor-General.
  5. Survey Investigation at the Office of Surveyor-General.
  6. Physical Planning clearance of the application.
  7. Advertisement of application.
  8. Computation and payment of Issuance fee.
  9. Preparation of Certificate of Statutory Right of Occupancy and signing by applicant(s).
  10. Transmission of file to Mr. Governor for endorsement.
  11. Stamping of the Certificate at the Osun Internal Revenue Service.
  12. Registration of the Certificate at the Lands Registry.
  13. Collection of Certificate of Statutory Right of Occupancy.

1. Initial Deposit

  1. Application fee for C of O N10,000.00
  2. Site Inspection fee for C of O N10,000.00
  3. Advertisement fee for C of O N20,000.00

2. Issuance fee for C of O Comprises

  1. Balance of Survey – (Total Perimeter Length-90) X N10
  2. Deed Preparation – N20,000.00
  3. Deed Registration – N20,000.00
  4. Town Planning Department fee – N10,000.00
  5. Ground Rent: Residential: First 1500 m2 @ N30/m2 Remaining Size @ N20/m2 Commercial: First 1500 m2 @ 45/m2 Remaining Size @ N30/m2 Agricultural - @ N10,000/ Hectare
